On August 24, 2022, a team from Tongji University, led by Professor Du Huanzheng, visited Jiaren New Materials to investigate chemical polyester regeneration technology and production status, laying a solid foundation for the cooperation between the two sides. Jiaren new materials chairman Sun Guojun and other leaders attended the reception.
Professor Du Huanzheng and his delegation first visited the environmental science and technology exhibition hall of Jiaren New Materials. The design concept of "zero carbon space" in the foreword hall represents the vision of Jiaren to achieve zero carbon and zero pollution in the recycling fiber industry. The latest renovation and upgrading of Jiaren exhibition hall's technical process and social responsibility screen also showed Jiaren's unique sustainable ecosphere and self-developed polyester chemical recycling system technology.
Professor Du Huanzheng's team has reached cooperation objects and research directions including Ant Group, Nike Shoe carbon footprint, Yingke PS, etc. At the same time, the team is committed to the research of waste research and recycling system construction under the background of circular economy with the goal of building a five-in-one sustainable green ecological civilization. However, in the process of constructing closed loop in waste textile industry, there are still some problems such as the difficulty of entering the head enterprise, the way of entering the enterprise, industry-related subsidies and added value.
As a chemical fiber industry giant affiliated to the Top 500 private enterprise Seiko Group, Jiaren New Materials has maintained a good cooperative relationship with Tongji Team over the years. In the past ten years, Jiaren has not only devoted itself to scientific and technological research and development, but also increased the production of kilotons to 10,000 tons at the beginning and launched chemical recycling DMT. In terms of brand cooperation, Jiaren has also cooperated with Coca Cola and BMW.
In the future, Jiaren factory will gradually form a trinity industrial cluster of "application + production + recycling" while achieving the construction of Yuecheng, Shangyu and Keqiao districts. In the future, both parties will step up research and development of products, especially biodegradable fibers, from the perspective of circular economy. At the same time, the two parties will step up cooperation, set up a joint research and development center, and gradually promote the construction of the recycling system. We believe that Jiaren New Materials and Tongji team will work together to create a sustainable green society to make contributions.
